Angel Beats! TV Anime

Angel Beats! is a 13-episodes anime series produced by P.A. Works and Aniplex and directed by Seiji Kishi. The story was originally conceived by Jun Maeda, who also wrote the screenplay and composed the music with the group Anant-Garde Eyes, with original character design by Na-Ga; both Maeda and Na-Ga are from the visual novel brand Key, who produced such titles as KanonAir, and Clannad. The anime aired in Japan between April 3 and June 26, 2010. The story takes place in the afterlife and focuses on Otonashi, a boy who lost his memories of his life after dying. He is enrolled into the afterlife school and meets a girl named Yuri who invites him to join the SSS—an organization she leads which fights against God. The SSS fight against the student council president Angel, a girl with supernatural powers.
The opening theme is "My Soul, Your Beats!" sung by Lia and the ending theme is "Brave Song" sung by Aoi Tada.

Otonashi woke up on the school ground and met a girl which has been sniping at that time--Yuri. She directly told him that he was dead and he was in an afterlife world--a world where you wouldn't ever die-- plus asked him to join the battlesquad she lead. She also told him that the girl she has been sniping that time was "tenshi" (=angel). As no one would believe such nonsense-like thing, he went to the center of schoolyard and told the girl called tenshi about all the things Yuri had told him. She told him that she wasn't tenshi, but approved that in this world no one would sick or even die. As an evidence, she strucked him on the chest with her handsonic. *and Otonashi died once now, lol^
He woke up in school infirmary without even a scratch, but his shirt was full of blood. Panicked, he found the headmaster room and going to ask about various thing *but was died before because of the tricks on the door*. Inside, he met Yuri again and her team. Here, he learnt that in this world, if someone enjoyed the school life, he would just be obliterated and reborned. Yuri's battlesquad objected to this, and determined to fight for their own life. At last, Otonashi joined the battlesquad.

I had recently watched this and it is really really great!

Beside this TV series, it also has an OVA or some people prefer called it 14th episode. The second season of this series is said to be aired some time in 2011. The second season is also said to revolve around an entirely new cast.
